I met the founder of Ideas Are Us, a Fair Trade company, Ruksana Hussain when she stopped by our Market & Studio to tell us about her organization.

Ideas Are Us was born out of the need to introduce and expose, quality Indian handicrafts produced by local artisans and
craftspeople, small-scale industries, and women’s self-help groups, to a larger audience.

Ruksana has dedicated her time and energy to distributing these products through the website and in retail shops to support the women of the organization.  Time and again, it has been shown that supporting Women-owned Microenterprises builds the entire community especially in developing countries.  Read the article
